HOW WE ROLL

Brand Identity

Let’s kick things off! Start by filling out our contact form so we can initially get in touch. We’ll hop on a discovery call to learn more about your goals to ensure we’re the right partner for you as you set off on your branding journey. If it seems like an A+ fit, a proposed scope of work, timeline & working agreement will be sent your way. A non-refundable deposit based on the finalized scope gets your project in the books and it’s time to get the ball rolling!
After we are all set up, you will receive our supplied branding questionnaire inquiring about the core aspects of your business—we want ALL the details! It is crucial to get to know you and your biz—your mission, vision, long term goals, target audience, you name it. This will set up Kona Made to dive in to build your brand with a strategy in mind and a story to tell. This is by far the most important step of the process.
Following the completion of our questionnaire & kickoff call, this is when Kona Made will put together your core brand foundation as we begin to develop your brand strategy. Focusing on your brand overview, audience profiles, competition, brand values and proposed visual direction, we will tie all of our findings together in to a consolidated, thoughtful creative vision. Your cultivated brand strategy will be presented for approval before moving on to the design phase. Two rounds of refinement are included as we move forward with edits & feedback.
Once your brand strategy is approved, we will set up our next meeting when we will present initial visual identity concepts for team review. These concepts will include primary & secondary logos, custom color palette, typography styling, and applied aesthetics. We will also include mocked up touchpoint examples your branding in place so you can see how new look-and-feel will come to life when applied to tangible pieces of collateral. Two rounds of refinement are included as we move forward with edits & feedback to ensure we hit the mark.
Once we have a selected branding direction, Kona Made will deliver all of your final brand files in an organized brand drive for your use. A style guide that outlines all of the components of your brand and creative direction guidelines will also be sent your way. Then, we pop champagne.

Just like our branding process, start by filling out our contact form so we can initially get in touch. We will then schedule a discovery call to learn more about your business & the goals you have for your website. If it seems to be an A+ fit, a proposed scope of work & working agreement will be sent your way. A non-refundable deposit based on our approved scope gets your website in the books and it’s time to get the ball rolling!
After we are all set up, you will receive our supplied website questionnaire covering all of the aspects of your current site or the new site you are striving to build. During this time, we will also learn more about your brand as a whole to ensure we keep consistency across the board. We will chat about messaging as well as imagery direction so we can establish a plan of attack from a content and creative direction perspective. Your website is your business’ #1 selling tool, so we need to make it top-notch!
Wireframing and sitemapping is a crucial first step in developing a seamless web experience. We will nail down the most important pieces of copy/content that you want at the forefront of your site and present a site map of how this information will be displayed within your navigation—stemming throughout your site. We will then develop a black and white structure of your homepage and subpages (desktop & mobile views) for approval before moving in to the design phase.
After the sitemap and wireframes are approved, we will go our separate ways to divide and conquer. If you are taking a stab at the copy for your website, this will be your time to gather all of the messaging to then hand off to Kona Made to implement in to the site’s design (if you are in need of copywriting assistance, let’s chat about it!). Kona Made will work our creative magic to bring a mockup of your homepage and subpages to life so you can see how your site is presented as an entire experience.

Once we have an approved design direction, Kona Made will go in to the backend of your site and start building out your entire experience!
Once your website is fully developed, this will be our time to comb through the site to make any last edits, shift any calls-to-action, test e-commerce functionality, ect. We will also ensure that your SEO is set up for best practices and that all of your contact forms are reaching the correct people. When we feel like we are ready to roll, we will push this baby live to the world wide web and let your new site shine!
